Buffalo Hummus

Ingredients:

1 can or 1-1/2 cups cooked chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1/2 tsp ground cumin

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1/4 tsp salt

2 cloves garlic

2 Tblsp Tahini

1 Tblsp hot sauce (Ex. Franks’s original hot sauce)

1 Tblsp lemon juice

1/2 cup jarred roasted red peppers (in water)

2 Tblsp water

Cayenne pepper to taste

Directions:

1. Combine all ingredients, except water and cayenne pepper, in a blender or food processor. Pulse a few times to combine, then scrape down the sides. With the motor running add water through the top.

2. Continue to blend until you reach the desired consistency. Let run 5 minutes for a smooth consistency.

3. If needed, (to your taste) add more salt, lemon juice or hot sauce. Sprinkle with Cayenne pepper before serving.
