Ingredients:
2 cups low sodium vegetable broth
2 Tbls low sodium soy sauce
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp pure maple syrup
2 Tbls nutritional yeast
3 Tbls cornstarch or flour, mixed with 3 Tbls water
(to make cornstarch slurry)
Fresh ground pepper (optional)
Directions:
1. Add vegetable broth, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder and maple syrup to a saucepan. Warm over medium heat.
2. Add the nutritional yeast and stir.
3. Taste. Add fresh ground pepper if desired.
4. Add the cornstarch slurry and whisk in. Heat for 2-4 minutes until it thickens. If you like your gravy very thick, you can whisk in another 1 Tbls of flour mixed with 1 Tbls of water at the end.
5. Serve and enjoy.
