A Short Piece On Longevity
Conor Kerely has written a useful article entitled “Research Confirms that a Plant-Based Diet Can Help You Live longer”. He briefly explains how our eating habits affect our likelihood to live long and healthy lives. In fact, the article supports the notion that if your diet stinks, but you otherwise live a healthy lifestyle (ie. are physically active, don’t smoke, not overweight, don’t abuse alcohol) you are still putting yourself at risk for a premature death.
After convincing the reader that good nutrition is important, it then clearly makes a strong case on why a whole food plant-based (WFPB) diet represents good nutrition.
Short and Naturally Sweet
The genius of the article is in its brevity. Most people are either short on time or have short attention spans, so reading one of the many books promoting a WFPB diet is not a popular choice for many. Nor is watching hour-long videos. Remember this article whenever you encounter someone who wonders why so many people have begun following a WFPB diet. Send that person the article. He/she should have the time to read it.
I appreciate that Conor took the time to write such a short article.
