In an earlier article called “The Power of Testimonials”, I shared how Otis Price reversed his cirrhosis by following a whole food plant based (WFPB) diet. Although there is an abundance of scientific evidence that shows that it is likely that a WFPB diet is the healthiest for human beings, scientific evidence alone doesn’t seem to inspire most people to transition to a WFPB diet.
We humans love stories. Personal success stories sometimes spur people to action. Below are four testimonials taken from the Plant Based Nutrition Support Group’s (PBNSG) web site. Reading these testimonials reminds me of something T. Colin Campbell once said. To paraphrase him – “It’s almost as if there is one disease that manifests itself in multiple ways based on a person’s genetic predispositions.” In essence – “Genetics load the gun, but diet pulls the trigger”.
- Jim Balla – Type 2 Diabetes
- Joyce Hale – Lupus
- Dave Willits – Coronary Artery Disease
- Cheryl Nagengast – Ulcerative Colitis
Four debilitating diseases that responded to essentially the same treatment. If a WFPB diet was a drug, it would rank with antibiotics as the greatest drug ever discovered.
